Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC): Mandatory Entry Requirement

TDAC has been mandatory since 1 May 2025 for non-Thai nationals entering Thailand by air, land or sea. Submit a new TDAC for each entry through the free official Immigration Bureau portal at tdac.immigration.go.th within the three days before arrival, including the arrival date. The current official FAQ exempts passengers who transit or transfer without passing through immigration and crew entering in the course of their duties. Children are included. TDAC is not a visa or a guarantee of admission.

Who is affected

The requirement applies to non-Thai travelers entering by air, land or sea, including children. A work permit, long-term residence, diplomatic passport or young age should not be treated as an exemption unless current Immigration Bureau guidance expressly says so.

The current official FAQ identifies only these exceptions:

  • passengers transiting or transferring without passing through Thai immigration; and
  • crew members entering in the course of their duties.

Required action

  1. Use only the free official Immigration Bureau TDAC portal.
  2. Submit within the three days before arrival, including the arrival date.
  3. Complete a new TDAC for every entry.
  4. Check identity details carefully. Core identity fields that cannot be edited require a new submission.
  5. Keep the confirmation available digitally. The current official FAQ says a printout is not required.

Travelers without reliable internet access should seek assistance from airline or Immigration staff and use available airport connectivity or kiosks as a contingency. Kiosks are not the normal substitute for pre-arrival completion.

Information requested

The official service asks for passport identity, travel, accommodation and health-declaration information. Follow the fields shown by the official portal because operational questions can change. Do not pay an unofficial intermediary merely to access the form: TDAC submission through the Immigration Bureau service is free.

What TDAC does not do

TDAC is an arrival-information requirement. It does not replace a visa, create permission to stay, authorize work, or guarantee admission.
